Sunset in Afton
Afton State Park is a favorite place for my husband and I. Close to sunset, we trekked out on the winter trail. In case we wondered too long we brought our headlights. Everyday is a different even along the same trail. It ended up that we didn’t need our lights because there was a long lasting glow from the snow and the cloud covered sky. Ever since my husband experienced Forest Bathing, he appreciates the silence in our walks or the hushed voice. It’s possible the deer we encountered had less fear because of our quietness. They may also know that we humans are slow. Especially in snow. Also, we normally remain on trails. Anyway, we were blessed by their beauty and presence.
