Natural Heritage Project Artist MaryBeth Garrigan
Last summer, a local artist, MaryBeth Garrigan, requested I do a Forest Bathing guide for her. She was participating in the Natural Heritage Project. The project gave out GPS coordinates to local natural areas. Using these coordinates the artists would visit the area and give their impression of the environment using their medium.
All of the artwork is now being displayed at Hudson Hospital & Clinic, located at 405 Stageline Rd. in Hudson, Wisconsin from November 13th thru February 9, 2020. [MAP].
The Natural Heritage Project has set up a podcast through “In Your Element” interviewing the artists. We have put up a link to MaryBeth’s interview where she expresses the importance of forest bathing and how it brought an impression to her that she didn’t get when she made the visit on her own. MaryBeth is no stranger to nature. She is a naturalist who has had many great accomplishments which you can hear about on the podcast. On my visit to see the work of the artists I took photo’s of MaryBeth’s work but I recommend you see them for yourself. She really captured the green light of the summer forest.
